04. Tiny Letter for the One Holding Back
00:01:09 Malin Pousette: Today's tiny letter is for the one holding back. The one who feels a quiet knowing deep in their heart but hasn't moved yet. Maybe it's the job you haven't applied for. The trip you haven't booked. The idea you keep writing down but not sharing. Maybe it's a move, a shift, a whisper in your body that says, it's time. But something inside keeps holding you still. This letter is for that moment, for that in between, for the space before the leap. We often tell ourselves we're procrastinating, that we're lazy, unmotivated, stuck, But what if you're not lazy at all? What if you're protecting yourself? Because when we hold back, it's usually not about the task. It's about the feeling. The fear of failure, the fear of getting it wrong, fear of being seen in our becoming. The fear that if we let ourselves want to move, we might be disappointed. Or worse, we might actually change. And change? Even the beautiful kind can be scary. So we stay still. We wait. We scroll. We make to-do lists. We say soon, but not now. But soon doesn't always come on its own. Sometimes we have to meet it half way. So let's meet ourself here with tenderness. Let's not push, but gently invite. What's one thing you deeply want? It don't need to be big. Just the next step. The click. The email. The yes. The breath. Can you let your desire be enough even if it scares you? You don't need to be fearless. You just need to be honest and willing. Willing to trust yourself. Willing to try. Willing to not have it all figured out. Most of the time we're not waiting for the perfect time. We're waiting to feel ready. But readiness comes after the step, not before.
00:04:10 Malin Pousette: Let's anchor it into the body, shall we? Right here, right now. Maybe put your hand over your heart and close down your eyes if that feels safe for you. And just take a deep breath in through your nose. And slowly exhale out. And again, inhale. Maybe take a little bit of a pause here. And gently exhale it all out. One more time. Really
00:05:04 Malin Pousette: connect with your heart. Inhale. Feel it. Pause for a bit. And exhale out, release and let go. Let your nervous system settle. Let your heart soften. Let your truth rise. I've held back to so many times. Just take this podcast as an example. I waited. I hesitated. I thought, who am I to do this? Will anyone listen? Will it be good enough? All the but and what ifs. But eventually, the fear of staying still became louder than the fear of beginning. So I began. Trembling. Messy. Real. And maybe that's where you are too. On the edge of your own beginning. So hear what I want you to remember. You're not behind. You're not broken. You're just holding a dream that's stretching you into someone new. And that kind of becoming takes tenderness. It takes patience. But it also takes one small act of courage. If this episode resonates with you, let it land gently. No rush. No pressure. Just a tiny seed planted. And if you feel just a bit ready, share it with someone you trust. Someone who supports you and believes in you. And if you don't have those people in your life right now, share it with me. I would love to hear what your dreams are and to see you begin because your dreams matters. And you don't have to do it alone. You're allowed to want more. You're allowed to begin even while you're afraid. I'm breathing with you. I'm sharing for you. And until next time, let's begin within.
