05. A breathwork journey
00:01:01 Malin Pousette: In this episode, you're invited into a breathwork journey. A moment to pause, to feel, and to return to yourself. This isn't about doing it perfectly. It is about softening and listening. Whether this is your first time breathing with me or you've been breathing with me before, all of you is welcome here. Let the breath take the lead. Let your body be your guide. This breathwork journey is a soft landing, A place where you don't need to perform, perfect, or push. Just breathe. Just be. The way I hold breathwork is heart-led and guided by deep love. It's gentle, yet powerful. A space where you're invited to feel what's real, to release what's heavy, and to remember what's always been within you. You don't need to do anything right now except arrive. Let your body guide the way. Let the breath meet you.
00:02:21 Malin Pousette: Before we begin this journey, I want to gently remind you of a few things just to keep you safe and supported. you're driving or if you are in water, please don't do this breathwork practice right now. You're welcome to listen and receive the energy, but come back to the actual breathing when you can be still, grounded, and fully present. This session may also not be suitable if you're pregnant or if you have a serious medical condition like heart problems, seizures, or epilepsy. If that's you, please just breathe normally. Listen in and enjoy the space or consult with your doctor before joining a full breathwork session. You can choose to lie down or sit up, whatever feels most supportive for your body. Make sure you feel warm and comfortable. And if you like, grab a blanket, an eye mask, or anything that may support you to feel comfortable. This is your time. This is your space. And finally, let go of any pressure to do it right. There is no right way to breathe here. Let your body and let your breath guide. You're safe, you're held, and you're
00:03:48 Malin Pousette: home. If it feels safe for you, gently close down your eyes.
00:03:54 Malin Pousette: Maybe putting one hand over your heart or one hand over your belly. Or just let your hands rest in your lap. Whatever that may feel comfortable for you in this exact moment. First, I want you to notice what's inside of you. What is going on in this exact moment? Maybe it will be supportive and helpful doing a little body check, starting on the top of your head. Just check in, just notice. Is there any tension anywhere? Check in with your jaw. See if you can relax it a little bit more. Maybe check in if you need to relax your forehead a bit or maybe the area around your eyes. Take an inhale here. Now go down to your neck and your throat. How does it feel here? Are there any tension? Any stagnant energies? There is nothing to do. Just checking in. Just noticing. When you feel ready, go down to your shoulders. Again, check in. Are you holding on to anything here? Can you relax your shoulders a little bit more? This is typical a place where we holding a lot. So just notice nothing you need to do. Just feel into how is your shoulders doing. Whenever you feel ready, you can go out into your arms, your right arm, your left arm. Out to your both elbows, your underarms, your wrists, your hands, all the way out to your fingertips. See if you can relax this part a little bit more and just notice if there are any tension here. Now let's go to your chest, the space around your heart, your lungs, your rib cage. Just inhale and just feel the expansion. Are you holding anything back? See if you can relax just a little bit more. Just release and let go of anything that you're holding here. Beautiful. Now, just tune into your back from the top of your neck all the way down to your tailbone. Just check in here. Notice... Is there any tension? Is there anything going on in your back? Do you feel relaxed? Again, a reminder, just be. Nothing you need to do. Also, check in with your belly area. Everything inside here. Maybe you hear some sounds, maybe it's totally still from your belly, from all the organs. Just noticing, checking in. Now go down to the hip area, your hips, your butt, your genitals. How does it feel in this area? Is there anything you need to relax? Is there anything you need to let go here? Maybe invite in some tiny movements with your hips just to check in. This is a place just like your shoulders where we carry a lot of stagnant energy. So that's why it's important to get the movement going. Let the flow in. And when and if you are ready, you go down and out to your legs, Your right leg, your left leg, down your knees, your ankles, both of your feet. All the way out to your toes. Maybe wiggle your toes a little bit just to connect with your feet. Beautiful. Again, check in with your body and just notice Was there one place or maybe several places in your body that may feel stuck? That may feel stagnant? That you're holding on to anything? A reminder that energy often gets stuck in our body and comes out in pain. So just notice we will connect with our breath and we will connect with that or those parts through the breathwork session. And whenever you feel ready, if you have your eyes closed already, just stay there if that feels safe. And we start to breathe in through our nose and out through our mouth. Just soft inhales and exhales. And just continue with this breath pattern. In through your nose. Out your mouth. And just notice how it feels in your body. See if you can soften a little bit more. If you can allow yourself just to relax. To release and let go. Every breath that you take. This is also a reminder that the first minutes are always the hardest one. It's when our brain wants to do all the other things than just breathe. But try to stay with the breath in through your nose, out your mouth. And let your monkey mind just be there. Beautiful. Again, notice if it feels that you're stuck anywhere. Around your rib cage, around your lungs. See if you can take a little bit deeper of an inhale. Just tiny micro movements, expansions. Just think about it. Your heart is surrounded by your lungs. And if you compromise your breath, Your heart will also be compromised. So just connect with your lungs. Let them expand a little bit more. Take deeper breath. Feel that every inhale is an invitation to invite in you energy. Every exhale is an invitation to release and let go. Every inhale and every exhale is an invitation to create more space to your beautiful heart so that your heart can take up all the space that it needs. Because trust me. This planet, this world have all the space for you. And I want you to live more from your heart. Beautiful. Just stay with the breath in through your nose, out your mouth. And just notice your belly. Oftentimes we are contracting our belly. We are holding our breath. We don't take deep enough breaths. So it can be hard if this is your first time to expand your belly. But just see it as a workout. We are working with our muscles. You're working with your diaphragm. Every breath is an invitation to stretch out just a little bit more and then relax a little bit more. Every inhale and every exhale counts. Beautiful. Whenever you feel ready, I will invite you to do a top hold. Just inhale in through your nose and hold it at the top. And whenever you feel ready, you just release and let go. Maybe with a sound. Really release and let go of the breath. You can come back to a natural breath pattern now. And again, maybe put one hand or both hands over your heart. Just check in. Just connect with your heart. Let yourself stay open. Let what moved you move. Let what's soften in you stay soft. There is no need to rush or figure it all out. Now is a beautiful time to take care of yourself in a simple grounding way. Maybe drink some water. Maybe allow yourself to step outside and walk barefoot. Maybe it may feel good to write down what came up during the session. Maybe connect with water, taking a shower or a bath. Whatever that feels nurturing, give yourself that. And if something inside of you wants to keep going to explore more, remember that I offer sessions that are completely tailored to you. Whether it's one-on-one, Or with your partner or in a group. We shape it together. From creative projects to corporate teams. Maybe a birthday circle. The breath can hold it all.
