07. The beauty of only 1%
00:01:01 Malin Pousette: You know those moments when you want to sprint toward the finish line before even taking the first step. Like, you can see where you want to go, the vision is so clear, so alive inside of you, But the path to get there feels kind of overwhelming. And suddenly the pressure kicks in. You need the whole plan, the perfect energy, the right time, and if it's not all lined up, it's like, Why even begin? Yeah, I know that feeling too. But something has really shifted for me lately. Something really simple. And honestly, kind of life-changing. It's the idea of one percent. Just one percent. One small step forward. One gentle movement in the direction of your dreams. I learned about this through Steven Bartlett. He's the guy who hosts the podcast The Diary of a CEO. And just to be clear, this is not a paid collaboration. Steven, at this moment as I record this episode, doesn't even know I exist. But I want to share this because I love how the 1% diary has supported me these last few months. He talked about something he calls the 1% diary, where he tracks the tiniest daily action that move him. He talked about something that he created himself. And it's the 1% diary where he tracks the tiniest daily actions that move him just a little closer to the life, to the rhythm, the version of himself he's growing into. And I have to admit, I'm a total sucker for notebooks, diaries, journals, blank pages. So, of course, when I saw the 1% diary, I bought it. I was totally sold. But what I didn't expect was how deeply it would shift the way I approach my own growth, my goals, my healing, my dreams. Because here's the thing, big change can feel too much, even paralyzing. And when we focus on only the finish line, we forget the power of the tiny steps that get us there. One percent doesn't sound like much, but it adds up. And even more than that, it's sustainable. It builds trust with yourself because you showed up. You did one thing. You moved even just a little. And that counts. For me, my 1% has lately been about my health. Not in a loud, all-or-nothing way, but in quiet, steady devotion. Each day, choosing one small thing to take care of my body, my energy, and my well-being. And it has looked something like this. Working out by lifting weights to feel my body getting stronger. Nourishing myself with food that I know I need to feel good. Stepping outside to feel the earth beneath my feet. Beginning and ending my day with essential oils. And connecting more with my breath through both short and long sessions. And not to mention letting fresh air, light, and stillness reset my nervous system. Tiny things. Things that don't take much time, but they shift something. So I want to invite you to try this too. First, write down your big goal. It doesn't matter what it is. It can be about your health, maybe your business, move your body, cleaning out your space, Saving, writing a book, finding peace in your body, rebuilding trust within yourself, Then, every day, write your one percent. One thing. That's it. It can be that today I cleaned one drawer. I sent one message. I took a walk. I drank water. I spoke my truth. I asked it for support. I wrote one paragraph in my coming book. Let that be your rhythm. Let it be enough. Because it is enough. Let's
00:05:55 Malin Pousette: pause and take a breath together. Close down your eyes if that feels safe for you. And slowly inhale through your nose and into your belly, your ribs, your chest. And exhale through the mouth, a soft letting go. Again, inhale this moment, this breath, this first step. And exhale the pressure to get it perfect. To do it all. To have it figured out already. Remember, you don't have to make the big leap. You just have to begin. One percent. That's where everything starts. Beautiful. One more time. Inhale in through your nose. Slowly exhale it out. Release the breath. Release any pressure, anything that doesn't serve you on this way further. And remember, when you keep going, when you begin to feel stronger, clearer, more grounded, when you reach a goal or feel like you arrived somewhere meaningful, you don't stop there. You gently set a new finish line and you begin again. Tiny new steps. A new 1%. Because you're not chasing perfection. You're nurturing a way of being. A life that grows with you. Connecting with your future self. Let it be soft. Let it be joyful. And until next time, let's
00:08:00 Malin Pousette: begin within.
