11. Summer solstice
00:01:01 Malin Pousette: Let's begin with a breath today. Inhale in through your nose. Let it fill you with golden light. And exhale, soften into presence. And again, a slow, full inhale in through your nose. And an exhale that grounds you into the here and now. And remember, you can continue and stay with your breath. Through this whole episode if you want to. But welcome, beautiful soul. In just a couple of days in the northern hemisphere, we arrive at the summer solstice. This marks the first day of summer. The longest day of the year. The sun at its peak. A moment suspended in light. A turning point. A celebration of fullness, of fire, of life in bloom. It's nature's great inhale, the peak of expansion. The flowers are wide open, The trees are lush. The air hums with vitality and color. And you, dear one, are a part of that same rhythm. This is a time to remember the sun inside of you. To stand in the light of your growth, your becoming, your silence, your radiance. Can you feel how far you come? What you move through to be here now? The summer solstice invites us to pause, to honor that journey, to celebrate what flourishing, not just in the world around you, but within your own heart. And yet, even at the height of brightness, there's a quiet shift that begins to stir. A turning. A whisper of what's next. Because the solstice also marks a moment of transition. From light toward the slow return of shadow. From expansion toward reflection. And this is the invitation to let yourself bloom. find your way back to balance. the sun teaches us something essential, That even in our fullness, there is a space for stillness. Even in the light, there is room for rest. So how do we integrate this rhythm into our bodies and lives? By living in tune with the seasons. By feeling them. Not just observing them. Here are a few gentle ways you might embody this solstice energy. Move with the sun. Dance in the morning light or take a walk as the sun rises or sets. Let your body move like fire. Alive, warm, and expressive. Maybe you can create a simple ritual. Light a candle and name what you're proud of, what's blooming in your life, what are you ready to shine light on? Maybe you can write it down. Journal about the ways you're grown this year. Where do you feel more alive, more you? What are you ready to celebrate? Maybe you can breathe in the fullness. Practice full deep breaths. Imagine your inhale as sunlight moving through every cell. Your exhale as grounding earth beneath your feet. Or maybe you can connect with your cycle if you have one. Otherwise, you can connect with the moon or with this season. Notice where you are in your inner season. Are you in summer too? Or maybe your body feels more like autumn right now. And that's okay. Honor both. Rest. Rest is so important. Just as nature begins its turn toward quiet after the solstice, so can you. Make space for slowing down, for shade, for integration. This solstice, let yourself be lit from within. Let the sun remind you of your wholeness. Let your joy be radiant and your silence sacred. You are allowed to take up space, to shine, to soften, to rest. This is the dance of life, the cycle of light and dark, the rhythm of nature and the rhythm within you. And now if it feels good. I invite you into a moment of breath. A way to connect your body with the season, your breath with the light, Your heart with the rhythm of this turning point.
00:06:41 Malin Pousette: Wherever you are, let yourself arrive. Soften your gaze or gently close your eyes. Maybe you can feel your feet on the ground, rooted and steady. Feel the crown of your head. Open to the sky. Begin to deepen your breath. Inhale slowly through your nose. Feel the warmth of the sun filling your chest expanding and hold it for a moment at the top. And exhale gently through your mouth. Let the breath melt down your body, releasing tension, softening the edges. Again, inhale, light. Golden. Fill yourself up. And hold it for a moment. Just feel the expansion within you. And when you're ready, exhale it out. Grounding, steady, and slow. Just continue with the breath. Let this breath be a reflection of the solstice. Fullness, stillness, a sacred pause. Let's do two more rounds. Inhale, imagine the energy of summer. Fire, vitality, joy. Hold it at the top. Feel that energy circulate within you. And exhale, imagine it rooting into the earth beneath you. Last one, inhale, your own light, your own becoming. Hold it and let it soak into your cells. And exhale, Release into presence. And just release your breath here. Just stay with the stillness for a while. Let your breath return to its natural flow. And when you feel ready, you can place one hand on your heart, the other one on your belly, And feel the rise and fall. The cycle. The rhythm. The life within you. Whisper gently to yourself. I am light. I am rooted. And I am whole. Let this energy stay with you as you move, as you rest, as you bloom. Until next time, let's begin
